The UW Tech Exploration Lab is seeking a Student Assistant to support outreach, communications, and event experiences that bring our community together. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and excited to help grow the Lab’s network and visibility.
What You’ll Do
You will work with the Leadership Fellow for Brand & Marketing to:
- Promote Lab programs and events to students, alumni, and industry audiences
- Draft and schedule outreach messages across email, social, and Discord
- Support marketing campaigns and partner communications
- Assist with event planning, logistics, and on-site experience
- Help create and distribute marketing materials and signage
- Track engagement metrics and summarize outreach impact
- Identify opportunities to expand the Lab’s reach across campus and beyond
What We’re Looking For
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Comfort engaging with diverse audiences (students, faculty, partners)
- Interest in marketing, community building, or event management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Curiosity about innovation ecosystems and emerging technology
