We’re thrilled to share that the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association’s On Wisconsin Magazine has featured the UW Tech Exploration Lab in its article, Inventing the Future. The piece highlights the Lab’s role as a launchpad for students to explore emerging technologies, test new venture ideas, and connect with industry leaders and alumni mentors who bring real-world challenges into the classroom.

Our work is powered by the guidance and expertise of incredible partners and alumni who give their time, insights, and problems to solve. They help UW–Madison students apply breakthrough technologies to real-world challenges and discover pathways to innovation.

A special thank you to Luke Anderson, Kurt Kober, and Michael Grall who are featured in the article, as well as alumni leaders Singari Seshadri, Christian Kaczmarczyk, Tim Bratland, Abram Becker, Kristin Storhoff, Timothy Davison, Tyler Waite, Daniel Borkhus, Jim Wuthrich, Jennifer Levenhagen, Brian Wiegand, and Kurt Malueg—and so many others—for their leadership and mentorship.

We are also grateful for our Executives-in-Residence and mentors who made this summer a success: Patrick Reetz, David Qu, Andrew S. Atwell, Mike Zhang, Matthew Kruepke, Kevin Ponto, Jirs Meuris, Heather Ferguson, Kendra Ramick, and Zekai Otles.

Finally, a thank you to our campus partners—the Wisconsin School of Business, Discovery to Product, and the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery—for sparking the momentum that drives this work.
