Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Tech Exploration Lab (TEL)!
Our volunteers help facilitate Open Labs, mentor participants, and manage the events that make our community thrive. This application helps us match you to the right opportunity — whether that’s technical mentorship, event logistics, or community building.
Apply any time.
Ways to get involved:
- Digital Health Challenge Volunteer — As a volunteer, you contribute directly to the Challenge’s outreach, events, and the facilitation of student-led innovation.
- Events Volunteer — hackathons, workshops, Open Labs, Build Nights
- Campus, Industry & Internal Lab Innovation Projects — Help translate a real business problem into an experiment and carry an idea from concept to evidence.
- Lab Ambassador — Get the word out about the Lab in the classes, orgs, and group chats you’re already part of. No events to staff, no fixed hours — just an ongoing presence wherever you already show up on campus.
Even if you don’t have an application accepted, you are welcome to come to Open Labs, Lab events, and Build Nights at 1403 University. The best way to stay plugged into events and other things happening in the Lab is to subscribe to our email list, join discord and subscribe to our calendar. You can also email us with questions.
