Learn about the four student assistants working alongside Lab Directors Sandra Bradley and Kevin Ponto and Lab Manager Bryce Sprecher. The assistants will be assisting student teams on their projects and demo of technologies at the lab’s Open House event, April 24.
Alka Lakadia is a sophomore at UW-Madison majoring in Computer Science and Data Science with a minor in Economics. Alka works as a Technology and Project Management Assistant at the Tech Exploration Lab. Alka is also the Vice President for the Data Science Club and the Events Lead for the Wisconsin AI Safety Initiative and WACM. She is also involved in AI/ML research with a focus on generative machine learning on campus.
Avanthika Senthil Kumar is a sophomore at UW-Madison majoring in Computer Science and Data Science with a certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies. Avanthika works as a Technology and Project Management Assistant at the Tech Exploration Lab. She is also the International Outreach Officer for Society of Women Engineers as well as involved in Wisconsin Autonomous.
Blake Thor is a senior at UW majoring in Journalism and Psychology. Blake works as a Marketing and Communications Event Assistant at the Tech Exploration Lab, creating editorial content and managing social channels. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of The Badger Herald.
Max Kamachee is a sophomore at UW Madison studying Computer Science & Data Science. Max works as a Technology Facilitation Assistant at the Tech Exploration Lab. He is also a researcher with a focus on the reliability of Large Language Models and is a leader at the Wisconsin AI Safety Initiative.
