This past weekend, Xorbix Technologies partnered with the Lab to run a hackathon, where student teams tackled a real-world AI and data challenge. In just a few hours, students generated a wide range of creative ideas and early prototypes—showing how quickly fresh thinking can emerge when talented students engage with meaningful problems.
Congratulations to our winning teams:
First Place
Sahar Arora and Smyan Vinu
Second Place
Sahana Ganesh, Niyati Balu, and Shana Desai

Events like this highlight the value of industry-sponsored innovation challenges. Companies gain fresh ideas, visibility with top students, and a potential internship and hiring pipeline, while students get hands-on experience working on real industry problems.
If you’d like to connect with the Lab community, join us for our upcoming Fourth Wednesday gathering on March 25.
We open the doors to alumni and professionals for pizza, conversation, and student networking, a great way to see what students are building and meet the next generation of innovators.
