As part of the Tech Exploration Lab’s Venture Pathway, Founder Lab brings together teams that are moving beyond exploration and into shaping real-world innovation and venture opportunities.
On April 23 at 3:30 PM, Founder Lab teams will participate in a focused feedback session designed to push their ideas further.
This session brings in a panel of industry and ecosystem voices to provide direct, candid feedback on each team’s direction, positioning, and presentation. It’s an opportunity for teams to refine how they communicate their work, pressure-test assumptions, and sharpen their thinking as they move toward real-world engagement.
More than a checkpoint, this session serves as a rehearsal for what’s ahead.

Looking Ahead: Founder Lab in San Francisco
In June, some of the Founder Lab teams will travel to San Francisco, where they will engage directly with alumni, investors, and operators across the broader innovation ecosystem.
A key moment of the trip will take place on June 25 at the Third Coast Foundry, a new San Francisco-based hub bringing together leading Midwest universities including UW–Madison to support venture engagement and cross-institutional collaboration.
For Founder Lab teams, this is an opportunity to present their work in a real-world setting, gather feedback from experienced founders and investors and build relationships that extend beyond campus.
